The Procedure Process
Initial Consultation
Your surgeon will examine your eye anatomy, listen to your concerns, and explain your surgical options. Together, you will review risks, benefits, and what to expect before, during, and after surgery.
Day of Surgery
Blepharoplasty is typically an outpatient procedure. Incisions are made in natural eyelid folds or inside the lower lid to minimize visible scarring. Your surgeon will remove or reposition tissue as needed for optimal function and aesthetics.
Immediate Aftercare
You will be monitored post-operatively and return home the same day. Cold compresses and lubricating ointments may be recommended to minimize swelling and support healing.
Follow-Up Visits
Your FSPS surgeon will schedule regular check-ins to monitor healing, remove any sutures, and ensure your results are progressing smoothly.
Recovery and Aftercare
Most patients experience bruising and swelling for the first 7–10 days, with discomfort well-managed by medication. Many return to light activities within a week and normal routines within 2–3 weeks. Sunglasses and sun protection are key during healing. Final results continue to improve over several months.
Results: What to Expect
Expect brighter, more youthful eyes that better reflect how you feel inside. Whether for cosmetic or functional reasons, blepharoplasty results are long-lasting and often life-enhancing—with subtle changes that can make a big impact.
