Richard G. Schwartz, M.D.
Dr. Richard Schwartz is a board certified cosmetic plastic surgeon and has practiced plastic surgery in West Palm Beach for more than 25 years and is renowned for his surgical artistry and natural-appearing surgical results.
Dr. Schwartz is board-certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and has been elected a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, a prestigious group of board-certified surgeons who specialize in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery.
Dr. Schwartz’ interest in plastic surgery began in medical school when he observed reconstructive plastic surgery being performed to repair the injuries of Vietnam War veterans. He found the process of rebuilding and improving the human form to be creative, artistic, and challenging. Dr. Schwartz realized that he wanted to devote himself to improving his patients’ quality of life and self-esteem by applying his surgical skills and artistic talents toward their enhanced appearance.
Dr. Schwartz trained in plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and in general surgery at The University of Arizona. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College.
Dr. Schwartz has remained a life-long student, learning the latest surgical techniques and strategies so that he may continue to offer his patients the most advanced treatment options geared toward their particular situation and goals. Over many years, Dr. Schwartz has also developed an intense interest and skill in oil painting. The artistic sense that has evolved from his study of painting has enhanced his appreciation of beauty and the human form and has allowed Dr. Schwartz to focus both his artist’s eye and his surgical skills toward the goal of creating the best surgical result for his patients.
