The Procedure Process
Initial Consultation
During your consultation, your surgeon will assess your facial anatomy, discuss your aesthetic goals, and review treatment options. Imaging, measurements, or X-rays may be used to customize your surgical plan. Risks, benefits, and recovery will be thoroughly explained.
Day of Surgery – Chin Implant
The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia. A temporary “sizer” implant may be placed first to ensure ideal contour before the permanent implant is secured. Incisions are closed and a supportive dressing or chin garment is applied.
Immediate Recovery
You’ll be monitored postoperatively and discharged the same day with a responsible adult. Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided.
Follow-Up
Patients are generally seen within one week for a postoperative evaluation. Recovery typically involves 1–2 weeks of downtime, during which light activity is encouraged.
Results
Most patients see a marked improvement in their facial proportions, particularly in the profile and neck area. Results are typically long-lasting and natural in appearance.
