The Procedure Process
Initial Consultation
Your board-certified FSPS surgeon will evaluate your neck, discuss your goals, and recommend the best approach—whether traditional neck lift, direct neck lift, liposuction, or energy-based skin tightening.
Day of Surgery
Neck lift surgery can be done under local, twilight or general anesthesia (depending on the procedure and extent as well as your and your surgeon’s preference) as an outpatient procedure. Your surgeon will tighten neck muscles, remove excess skin and fat, and sculpt your neck to achieve your desired look.
Immediate Aftercare
Post-surgery, you’ll wear dressings or a compression garment to minimize swelling and support your neck. Mild discomfort is controlled with medication.
Follow-Up Visits
Regular follow-ups will be scheduled to monitor healing and ensure the best possible results.
Recovery and Aftercare
Initial recovery usually takes 1–2 weeks, with most swelling resolving within that time. Patients typically resume normal activities within 2–3 weeks. Adhering to your surgeon’s aftercare instructions ensures optimal healing.
Results: What to Expect
Neck lift results are immediately noticeable and continue improving as swelling decreases over several months. The outcome provides a smoother, defined, and youthful neckline designed for long-lasting improvement.
