Fillers

Facial fillers are a powerful, non-surgical option for restoring volume, smoothing wrinkles, and enhancing facial contours. Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons (FSPS) member surgeons use advanced techniques and high-quality products to deliver natural-looking, rejuvenating results tailored to your nonsurgical goals.

Neurotoxins

Toxins/neuromodulators are injectable medicines that are used to treat fine lines and wrinkles of the face. The most well known brand of neuromodulator is Botox, made by the bacterium clostridium botulinum. Botox has been used for decades to treat medical conditions such as blepharospasm, strabismus, and migraine headaches. In the late 1980’s ophthalmologists noticed that patients being treated for these conditions often developed noticeable reductions in facial wrinkles. Over the next few years Botox was used “off label” by many plastic surgeons to specifically treat facial wrinkles. Botox was approved for cosmetic use by the FDA in 2002.

Body Contouring

Non-invasive body contouring offers a safe, effective way to slim and sculpt problem areas—without surgery or downtime. FSPS member surgeons stay at the forefront of aesthetic technology to provide personalized, physician-supervised treatment plans that help you look and feel your best with natural-looking results.

Lasers & IPL

A popular method to rejuvenate the appearance of the face uses modern medical lasers. The most commonly-used lasers for this purpose are known as a fractional carbon dioxide laser or an erbium laser. The laser helps to improve skin texture, sun damage and fine lines, but is different than a facelift in that it does not lift or elevate the skin and tissues of the face. Laser resurfacing can smooth skin in hard-to-treat areas, such as the vertical “lipstick lines” around the mouth. Treating crepey skin around the lower eyelid is also a popular use of the laser.

How Involved Are Non-Invasive Procedures?

Non-invasive treatments will vary from procedure to procedure. Non-invasive treatments can range from dermal fillers to skin resurfacing treatments, or even laser hair removal. Most treatments can be performed within an hour and often require no recovery time. Procedures are minimally invasive and offer patients an alternative to plastic surgery.

How Much Do Non-Invasive Procedures Cost?

Prices may vary based on your individual case. Your board-certified plastic surgeon will provide you additional information during your consultation. Ask your doctor if their office offers any specials or financing options.

Benefits of Non-Invasive Procedures

These treatments are often painless and little to no recovery time is required. If you are unhappy with the appearance of acne scars, wrinkles or fine lines, sun-damaged skin or even unwanted hair, there is a minimally invasive treatment option available that can help you.
