Larry L. Harper, M.D.

Larry Harper, M.D., F.A.C.S. a third generation Floridian, grew up in neighboring Wakulla County, Florida. Dr. Harper’s roots run deep in our community as his father served as a circuit judge in Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit and his paternal grandfather was a physician in Wakulla County for many years.

A 1987 graduate of Florida State University, Dr. Harper received his medical degree in 1991 from the University of Florida College of Medicine. In 1996, he completed his general surgery residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center followed by a plastic surgery residency at the prestigious Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Harper joined Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic in 2000. While his experience encompasses all areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Harper specializes in breast augmentation and body contouring which includes abdominoplasty, liposuction and thigh lifts.

Dr. Harper is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (A.S.P.S), Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.), Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Cleft Lip and Palate Society. He is a consultant with Children’s Medical Services of North Florida and is the lead surgeon on the Cleft Lip and Palate team serving indigent children. He also serves on the foundation Board for the Capital Medical Society.
