Martin I. Newman, M.D.
Martin I. Newman, MD, FACS, is the Department Chair of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He has been with the Department since 2004. He serves as a Program Director and Head of Clinical Research for the Residency. Dr. Newman also serves as Former President of the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons, current President of the Broward County Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a former Board Member of the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Newman’s interests include cosmetic and aesthetic plastic surgery, breast and body contouring, reconstructive plastic surgery and non-invasive techniques.
Dr. Newman received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, and completed his plastic surgery training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, Cornell University, New York, (plastic surgery residency), Cleveland Clinic Florida (aesthetic and cosmetic surgery fellowship) and at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, FL (general surgery residency).
Dr. Newman has been named one of the “Top 100” Plastic Surgeons in the country by Newsweek and is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a “Best Doctor”. He has earned numerous awards, authored close to 20 textbook chapters, over 65 peer reviewed professional journal articles on plastic and cosmetic surgery, and has presented close to 300 lectures, posters and abstracts on plastic and cosmetic surgery. He has contributed to over 20 television, magazine and Internet publications, all of which focus on plastic and cosmetic surgery.
